The 2022 F&F Annual Tour ‘Straight outta lock-down’ was held at one of our favourite locations, the
fantastic North Devon Shooting Ground in Ilfracombe. A big thank you to Clive, Jackie and the rest
of the team for making us very welcome and looking after us (especially Jackie’s lovely ‘non-vegan’
sausage rolls on Saturday!!).
A fantastic location and a friendly shooting ground with some amazing stands - a very professional
set up, highly recommended.
A great trip all round with some pretty good weather, great hotel and lovely food. A very special
‘Thank You’ from everyone to our resident travel agent Brendan (A.K.A. Jive Bunny) for doing a
fantastic job of arranging everything and getting everyone in the right place at the right time - A
considerable feat of project management delivered on time and in budget!!
A special mention to the lovely Seventy One
restaurant run by Peter and Jane Fuller for
some great food and service on Thursday.
And, not forgetting, Wards Bistro & Bar for
some lovely food and service on Saturday.
The Trophies
This year we have Trophies for ‘High Gun’, 2
nd
and 3
rd
place in straight shooting, plus a ‘Saturday old
farts Club’ for the members only shooting Saturday. In the handicap shooting we have Trophies for
1
st
, 2
nd
and 3
rd
place. No Wonkey Donkey or Wooden Spoon this year - watch this space!!
In addition we have the ‘Founders Trophy’ which was introduced at the 30
th
Anniversary Tour in 2015
by three of the original founding members of the club, Brian, Roy & George. This Trophy is in
recognition of contribution to the F&F Gun Club during the year and the current holder chooses who
this will be passed to at each Annual Tour.
Straight Shooting Results
Below is the breakdown of the final scores and rankings for Straight Shooting. This year, both
Friday and Saturday we shot 150 made up from 100 in the morning and 50 in the afternoon giving
a total maximum of 300 - The scores were very close with only 17 points between the top 5. This
year for the first time, we had a tie for 2
nd
place so there is no 3
rd
place Trophy.

The Founders Trophy was awarded to Bob Brown for
his outstanding contributions to the Club.
When he is not on a double-shift!! Bob manages the
club as The Chairman, makes the decisions, looks
after finances and helps out around the shooting
ground.
A truly dedicated member of the club and a well
deserved reward.
Thanks from the whole club for all your support and
dedication.
